CNN Casts Its Vote for GoVision

The eyes of America will be glued to their television sets tonight as election results trickle in from across the nation. Millions of households will tune to CNN, which is supplementing its wall-to-wall coverage by hosting election-viewing events in Chicago and Boston, the respective home bases of President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney. As has become the custom at such high-profile events, GoVision’s state-of-the-art LED screens will be front and center.

The PGA of America is installing a record number of video boards at Medinah for the Ryder Cup, including one giant screen that literally will rise up from the pond on the 15th hole.

This was a job for “GoBigger,” the world’s largest mobile LED screen. The 19’ x 33’ mobile unit, provided by Texas-based rental company GoVision, features Daktronics HD-16 LED video technology and was strategically positioned at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, not far from the main stage. A second mobile LED unit, the 9’ x 12’ “GoTron,” was stationed further down Michigan.

When you’ve waited nearly half a century to celebrate a Stanley Cup title, you don’t skimp on the festivities. So when the City of Chicago mapped out its parade route for the Blackhawks and their two million elated fans, they knew ordinary “big screens” wouldn’t do. This was a job for “GoBigger,” the world’s largest mobile high-definition LED screen.

Spectators won’t have to strain to see Fall Out Boy onstage during the Nike+ Human Race 10K in Chicago. Ditto for the thousands of runners expected to participate at Soldier Field as part of the world’s largest one-day running event, thanks to a giant, 9-by-16 foot video screen stationed at Soldier Field. The massive, daylight-visible LED screen – provided by GoVision LP – offers state-of-the-art video quality and high-definition widescreen resolution.

GoVision was on hand to enhance the finish line experience as well as provide an effective medium for commercial and sponsor messages.
