GoVision Takes Rick Perry's Inauguration to the Big Screen
GoVision, Texas' only provider of mobile, stadium-sized event screens, broadcasted the inauguration of the 47th governor of Texas to the 12,000 people gathered around the steps of the state Capital Building in Austin to see Rick Perry sworn in on January 21. The entire inauguration ceremony and the entertainment that followed were displayed on the 9 foot by 16 foot LED screen of GoVision's custom-built mobile unit, GO BIG. GO BIG soon became the belle of the ball as, for the first time in Texas history, all attendees had a perfect view of the swearing-in ceremony.

When the swearing-in was complete, GO BIG's screen was easily rotated to face the entertainment provided by the Latin sensation Sister Morales and the barbecue dinner supplied by Eddie Dean. GoVision needed only two technicians to oversee the festivities and its onboard generator provided power for the entire six hours of the event.
The New Trade Show Sensation
GoVision has raised the bar on trade shows by making trade show booths mobile. The company added to the strength of the presence of Innovative Aftermarket Systems (IAS) at the National Automobile Dealers Association annual Convention and Exposition in San Francisco in February. GoVision drove GO BIG around the Moscone Center, where the convention was held, and ran commercials and presentations featuring IAS. This was a strong addition to the booth that IAS had inside the building and generated a lot of excitement and talk on the trade show floor.

"GoVision was a great addition to our trade show presence at the National Automobile Dealers Association Conference," said Stephanie Ipema, IAS director of marketing communications. "The mobility of GO BIG was a huge asset for us because it helped us reach an audience that we hadn't been able to get our message in front of before. Our current clients and prospective clients were very impressed and we look forward to using GoVision's services at next year's show."

In all, GO BIG broadcasted IAS's message for 16 hours a day, February 1 through 3. GO BIG was specially suited to the task as its BARCO LED screen is specifically designed for daylight display.
GoVision Grows with Two New Staff Members
GoVision has been rapidly growing, recently adding two new staff members - J. Thomas Phillips as an event producer and Meghan Daniels as office manager.

In his position as event producer, Phillips will oversee all technical aspects of GoVision's mobile unit while at events, as well as lead future equipment purchases. Phillips joins GoVision with a lengthy background in audio/visual production, which included acting as the audio/visual coordinator for Swank Audio / Visuals. In this capacity Phillips worked directly with clients in pre- and post-event services and contracts. He also oversaw inventory control, repair and ordering of all A/V supplies and equipment.

In her position as office manager, Daniels will be in charge of all administrative duties at GoVision. Prior to this position, Daniels was the office manager of Bakehouse Foods in Carlsbad, Calif. In this position Daniels oversaw all aspects of the company's marketing programs, oversaw current accounts, assisted in building the company's client base and managed the accounts receivable/payable.
The GO BIG Screen
Before launching the company, GoVision researched all of the LED (light emitting diode) screens on the market to find the one best suited for GO BIG and indoor/outdoor staging. The screen selected is made by BARCO, a Belgium-based imaging technology company. The GO BIG screen is made up of BARCO's DLite 10 outdoor LED displays. These 18-inch square, self-contained, waterproof tiles are specially designed for outdoor viewing and feature BARCO's "Dual Pixel Technology," which offers an addressable resolution up to 140 pixels per linear meter. Featuring the highest available number of high-quality LEDs per square meter, the DLite's stunning resolution provides shorter viewing distance, smoother picture and unique performance.

The DLite tiles fit together seamlessly, creating a screen that can grow to fit any space (GO BIG's screen is made up of 60 tiles). Each tile also features intelligence to allow for auto configuration and "hot swapping" of tiles while the screen is in use. All of these factors work together to create a screen with wonderful image and color quality, making every event GoVision supports astounding.
